THE POLICE´S STRIKE

In Argentina, the role of the security forces is under discussion and observation. Years of bloody dictatorships, police abuses, easy triggers and corruption produced a gap between society and the forces that continues to this day. However, a group of people has been fighting to give a debate that democracy never gave on the unionization of the police and their labor rights.

Shotten over several years, the director thinks over his incapacity to make a documentary about the carnival of his hometown. He remembers a fact in his childhood : the lynching of a fagot in full popular celebration. Unraveling his own memories, analyzing his relationship with his family and looking for the boy who was the victim of that beating allows the director to understand the construction of his own masculinity and the role that that carnival played in it.
